Case Study
Archive UK |Barcode
Archive UK is a leading provider of box and file archive storage, offering additional services such as general storage and Halon gas protection. Committed to maintaining exceptional customer service, Archive UK aims for 100% customer satisfaction. To sustain its high standards while managing an increasing volume of archive boxes and files, Archive UK required a more efficient and scalable inventory management solution.

Archive UK: Streamlining Archive Storage with AR-Tracker
As Archive UK's storage capacity grew, their manual tracking system could no longer keep up with operational demands. The lack of a real-time inventory system led to inefficiencies, difficulties in locating archive boxes and files, and increased labour requirements. A solution was needed to introduce automation, enhance accuracy, and improve accessibility for both staff and customers.
To address these challenges, Archive UK implemented our AR-Tracker solution at its state-of-the-art London warehouse. The project was carried out in phases: Initial phase: Existing archive boxes and files were analysed, labelled, and integrated into the new system. Infrastructure upgrade: A wireless network was installed to support real-time data access. Implementation of AR-Tracker: The system was deployed to manage archive boxes and files while ensuring scalability for future asset tracking needs. Using barcode technology and a fully integrated wireless system, Archive UK staff can now efficiently track archive boxes and files. The system enables real-time transaction processing, ensuring up-to-date and accurate data at all times.

solution summary
With over 40,000 archive boxes and files, manually tracking locations and retrieval requests became unmanageable, leading to delays and errors.
The Solution
The implementation of AR-Tracker with bespoke modules introduced barcode-based tracking and a wireless infrastructure, allowing real-time visibility and accurate record-keeping of all archive boxes and files.
Staff had to rely on paper records and manual searches to locate archive boxes, slowing down retrieval times and increasing the risk of misplaced items.
The Solution
Using AR-Tracker with bespoke modules, each box and file is accurately scanned and recorded in real-time, ensuring that staff always have up-to-date information on archive locations.
Previously, staff needed extensive knowledge of the warehouse layout and storage system, making it difficult to scale operations and onboard new employees.
The Solution
The structured, process-driven AR-Tracker with bespoke modules ensured that all items were scanned and tracked accurately, reducing the reliance on staff experience and making training faster and more efficient.
The existing system lacked the flexibility to manage additional services like general storage, furniture tracking, or automated cost calculations.
The Solution
AR-Tracker with bespoke modules was designed to be scalable, with planned integrations for pickup and delivery tracking, automated costing, and expansion into other storage areas, ensuring future growth without operational disruptions.
